Sunday - January 4th - Next Meeting- at 1:00pm

Hello Healthy and Fit Members and Potential Members!
Just a reminder that this group is FREE. We are all about supporting eachother in being and becomeing Healthy & Fit. It's a great time to get on board with your New Years Resolutions!
At this meeting we are creating our Vision Boards for 2009 focusing on being Healthy & Fit. All you need to do is bring your scissors, healthy & inspiring magazines, and an open mind. We will supply the how to's and the board for your project. Afterwards, weather permitting, we will go on a 30 minute walk on or near the beach which as you may know is right out the back door of Renaissance Healing Center.

November Meeting and December Meeting Sceduled

*Our Novemeber Meeting is this Sunday the 9th at 11:00am at Renaissance.
Plan to bring a notebook and walking shoes if you plan to go on the 30 minute walk afterwards.
*Our December Meeting is Sunday the 7th again at 11:00am and we will always meet at Renaissance Healing Center unless there is a workshop scheduled for that day at the Center.

Minutes From Our 1st Healthy & Fit Meeting

Hello!
Our 1st meeting went very well. We answered and dicussed the 3 questions posted on the previous blog posting. Listed below were the other ideas & topic we talked about:
  • How to Log onto our new Google Chat Group which is a private discussion board for our Healthy & Fit attendees.
  • A Library of Helpful Books on Health & Fitness
  • Goal setting
  • Mission Statements
  • The 3 Questions for next months meeting
  • Our Healthy Recipe File Box
  • Good Habbits vs. Not so good Habbits
  • Walking after groups with the option of Yoga or Pilates (weather)
  • Pre-Planning Our meals
  • Goal Setting
  • Staying on Track

  1. Bring your notebook or journal
  2. Comfortable clothes for a short 30 minute exercise if you choose to participate afterwards

3 SIMPLE QUESTIONS TO GET US STARTED

Our 2nd Group will meet again at Renaissance Healing Center (228 3rd Ave N. Jax Beach) on Sunday, November 9th again at 11am to 12 Noon
( Please bring a notebook or journal )
We will be setting our goals individually and setting a group intention.
I will also be creating a on-line chat group specifically for our group attendees to log on and support eachother during the month in achieving our goals.

Healthy & Fit Support Group at Renaissance Healing Center

Hello Friends of Healthy & Fit,
To start things off I would like to say...congratulations on taking a step toward your overall health and wellness, you deserve it!
I would prefer to meet on the weekends Saturdays and Sundays work best for me.
A few words about what the group will entail...
1st we will begin with a journal: this will be to take notes during our meetings and to log our food intake during the week, feelings, judgements, affirmations, thoughts and findings about what works and what does not.
This is not about dieting or feeling bad... It's about feeling good about our progress and supporting each other in meeting our goals.
Our first meeting will be on Sunday October 19th at 11:00am - following the Nutritional Cleansing workshop on Saturday October 18th at noon at Renaissance Healing Center located at 228 3rd Ave. N. in Jacksonville Beach. After this we will decide on what days and times work best.
Please email me anytime to communicate your thoughts. I will be the "Group Coach", since I do have some coach training through Coach U. There are no fees involved. I would like to book a few local speakers to come in to give us information on subjucts such as nutrition, wellness, fitness and health. Another idea I have is to plan a short beach walk each month since we will be meeting at Renaissance Healing Center which is just a stones throw from the actual beach. This is a great way to burn calories and to enjoy our beautiful beach fresh air to uplift our spirits.
Let's start thinking of what we each want out of this group so we can create a mission statement.
