Next meeting this Saturday July 10th

Our next group meeting will be Saturday, July 10th  11:30am-1:30pm at Focus Fitness in Jax Beach.  This meeting is free to everyone who would like to attend! So tell your friends to join you :) 

   We welcome your input as we re-organize the membership options to better meet your needs.  We will be continuing with the group even though Renaissance Healing Center is closing.  Meetings can be held at Focus Fitness and at Max Muscle, as well as any group outings you all would like (example: the health food store, the beach or the park!!).  We all need each others' support during this time of transition. 
  As a group, we should think of new and creative ways to help our communities live healthier lives and recover from disasters like the Gulf Oil Spill.  This has hit too close to home for those of us living in Florida and, I feel, one of the best ways to keep our bodies healthy is to keep our environments healthy as well! (Not to mention the wonderful mental benefits of doing something good for your community.)  We must think postively and move forward to make change in the way we live our lives, be it on a small scale or a global one.  Please bring your thoughts and suggestions to the meeting, we are looking forward to a wonderful discussion!!  Thank you all for you continued support.

A Few Suggestions and Info from our Last Meeting

Thanks for your open and honest sharings and for allowing me personally to open up about what's been going on, it helps so much more than you may know. That's really how Healthy and Fit Group works. Your suggestions were so loving and compassionate, thank you... it felt good to feel safe to share honestly without feeling judged.

Join us Sat. Jan. 23 for an Introduction to the Healthy & Fit Group

    In 2010, we are returning our focus to our health and well-being and encouraging our students, clients, and friends do the same.  To put this focus into action, we decided to re-launch the wonderful Healthy and Fit support group that began in October of 2008.  This group is about support, setting goals, and inspiration!  We will have our introduction meeting on Jan 23 at 11:30am.  It is National Yoga Day and Renaissance Healing Center is celebrating by offering free 30 minute yoga classes from 1pm to 5:30pm.  You are welcome to wear your yoga clothes to the meeting and stay to experience the classes and meet our instructors.  I guarantee you'll feel motivated to get moving after feeling the support and energy of the group!  This session will be complimentary, as we will be explaining the new format and getting everyone signed up for the 6 month plan to a Healthy and Fit Lifestyle.   Please join us and learn all about nutrition, exercise, and the healthy habits you can incorporate to live a healthier, happier, and longer life!!

Deanna Zeek Joins us for the New and Improved Group!

About Deanna:

Deanna Zeek, NASM CPT

Deanna’s love of fitness began in high school where she played softball and was a cheerleader, lifeguard and swim instructor.  Deanna grew up in Vernon, New Jersey and then moved to Florida and attended Flagler College in St. Augustine, where she majored in psychology and sociology.  After college, Deanna began her career in Jacksonville Beach, building her personal training clientele.
Deanna lives the healthy lifestyle that she teaches her clients.  “My belief is that everything you do with your body and what you give it for energy greatly affects your emotional state and how you deal with life.  Being active and healthy is not a hobby, but how to live a happy and fulfilling life. ”
